About Me – Marv, Landscape Photographer from Nottingham
Hi, I’m Marv—a proud Nottingham native and nationally recognised landscape photographer with a deep love for nature, hiking, and storytelling through the lens.
My journey into photography began in 2017, following a life-changing moment that forced me to rebuild from the ground up. With the unwavering support of my loving family, I found healing in nature. One of my first steps was hiking Mount Snowdon with my sister’s family to raise funds for Nottingham Hospitals Charity—a powerful experience that sparked something new.
Armed with an old Nokia phone, I started capturing the beauty of Nottingham’s landscapes. The response on Instagram was overwhelming, and thanks to a dear friend who gifted me my first camera, I began to see photography as more than a hobby—it became my purpose.
From city walks to Peak District hikes, my passion grew. Today, I’m known for my detailed landscape shots and have even earned the nickname “Human Google Maps” for my trail knowledge. Every photo I take is a tribute to resilience, nature, and the journey that brought me here.
